How is pansexuality different from bisexuality?

While bisexuality refers to someone who is attracted to two genders (traditionally male and female), pansexuality not only includes attraction to any gender (trans, agender, gender fluid, etc.) but goes beyond attraction to a specific gender or sex. Individuals who identify as pansexual often cite being attracted to certain physical aspects or energies and say they are “gender-blind” when it comes to romantic attraction. Source

However, some bisexual individuals define bisexuality as being attracted to 2 or more genders or their own gender plus other genders. But this should still not be confused with pansexuality, which is generally considered to imply that gender is not a determining factor in attraction. Source
